YCW seeks to promote awareness of the plight of refugees and asylum seekers in Australia.
We hope to encourage young people to take action as a way of supporting and being in solidarity with refugees.
We also seek to break down cultural and linguistic boundaries and create a sense of community.

English Classes

English classes are for all levels - beginner to advanced and covers reading, writing and speaking. Three classes are held each week.

Computer Classes
Computer classes covers the basics of computer applications. Classes are held once a week.

Social Events
Social events are held throughout the year. It is a great opportunity to have fun with family and friends. In the past they have included BBQs, picnics, ice skating and trips to the zoo.
Awareness Raising
Awareness Raising team aims to educate the general community about refugees and asylum seeker issues.
We also aim to be a space where refugees and asylum seekers can have a voice.
In the past we have held forums, written articles, attended rallies, given talks in schools and churches, participated in community events, and printed books of refugee stories.
