The YCW works to create a society, which actively supports, respects and values the God given dignity of each person. We will consciously uphold basic human rights, especially the right to meaningful and just work. We will educate for global awareness and solidarity. Through taking action and reviewing in our communities, young people will discover the deepest meaning and mission of their lives.

Finding Meaning Kit

INTERNATIONAL DECENT LIVING INCOME SURVEY
Our target is 2000 surveys from all over Australia

A Decent Living Income is an economic human right. Decent Living Income (DLI) means an income which is enough to provide for a ‘decent’ standard of living for an individual and his/her family – enough money to pay for a decent standard of food, housing, clothing etc, Decent Living Income is a basic means to achieve a decent life and decent work for every single person and his/her family.

Why do we want DLI? International Young Christian Workers (IYCW) is a social movement that promotes the dignity of all workers. To be able to represent workers and understand their reality, we need to properly understand what a Decent Living Income is for them. Therefore, this survey is a very significant tool at this time to promote the Decent Living Income action.

The survey aims to know the current income of young workers in the Asia Pacific countries, to know the cost of decent living standards in the Asia Pacific.

Please click on the link to help us formulate what your income should be so you can live a decent life.

DLI SURVEY

IYCW ASPAC will publish the results of this survey by all means possible and will strongly follow up with concrete actions to work towards achieving a Decent Living Income everywhere in the Asia Pacific and in other parts of the world.

Please help us reach our target of 2000 surveys!

YOUNG

WORKERS

On 1 July 2009 another blow was dealt to the old WorkChoices
regime by the introduction of new national workplace laws. We have
heard that WorkChoices is slowly dying, but what exactly does this
